splitting up file for 2 cd's?

how do i split a 1200mb file so i can put it onto 2 cd's?? is there a program out there, im currently using nero 5

Do a google on a program called hjsplit. Its fast and free!

When I ran windows I used Dariolius.

You could easily just use some compressions program that does spanning. Eg. winrar/winace.

However, if your package becomes corrupt and you've not set a recovery record, the entire file will be lost.

If it's a movie file, you could use virtualdub to save a striped avi.
