ECS K7S5a won't keep time!
I've had this board since probably mid-summer with absolutely no probs and have built 4 different systems with the same board.
It recently started not keeping the correct time: even if I leave it on, the time will change randomly.
I delayed troubleshooting on this since I was too lazy to change the battery; finally I did, but this is not the battery's fault--its a new cr2023 with proper voltage (I tested it).
I'm running Panda AV, updated daily, no viruses, and XP Pro.
I've searched using google for this problem, but I am confused by the responses people had--this is not an uncommon problem with this board.
The responses ranged from
--you can't fix it, just keep resestting the time
to
--do a BIOS update every few months, which seems to fix it (albeit temporarily).
Anyone else have this problem and actually resolve it?

Trey pulling the CMOS reset jumper ad clear it.
You've probally already done that but worth a shot.
Ring up your dealer (the company you bought it from) and ask what you should do._____

yeah, already done that!
its not losing CMOS settings, either, which was another common complaint-- just the time.

Sounds like there may be a problem with the RTC Controller (Real time clock) you may want to return/rma that board.
