Some Improvement on Temp of CPU!

My system is a 2.0 Celeron.

I was getting a CPU temp of 69 degrees. (The fan speed was 2,500 RPM)

I exchanged my CPU fan and the reading now is 3,200 RPM.

I added a Fan for Intake (bottom of case) and a fan for exhaust (back of case) and my CPU temp is running a constant 48 degrees.

I still get freezups when encoding video!

Is this acceptable?

Bob

it will not be temperature problem as the celeron is designed to throttle down to a lower speed when it over heats. the threshold for the cpu is 70 deg c before the chip with clock to a lower speed. i would suspect that your system may have another fault if it is freezing. what chipset does it have if you can give us your system specs and software you are using.

regards

tried updating your via 4 in 1 drivers?
i use the sonic my dvd software and i find it stable

the hyperion drivers for your chipset may help it a little imo
