| No fans, no spin ups, JUST green ASUS board light
ok guys.. ive read the other two threads concerning computer start up problems.. and ive tried all the advice that's been given.. now im really stuck
Asus A7V133
XP 2000+
ive unplugged everything except for videocard which is a Gf3Ti
and i removed all the reset, speaker, led plugs and left only the power switch...
still nothing works.. i even removed the power switch and tried shorting it to start it up... no good either..
all i get is the green light.. it used to be that when i turend on the ATX switch.. my comp would automaticall run.. but now nothing..
im stumped guys.. it has nothing to do with me frying the board is it??
oh and i've also reconnected the ATX plug and reseated the video card and im only running 1 128 SDRAM 133...
so i dunno what else i can do...
PLEASE HELP

I dont know if this would do anything, but can you board handle an xp 2100+ without any bio updates? Do you have a slower processor? try putting that in and see if anthing happens. |

i recently bought the processor like 2 weeks ago. and it ran fine.. i encounted this same problem before but i fixed it because i had plugged the power switch into the wrong connectors..
since then i havent done anything to the computer except one week ago i installed my Yamaha F1 burner.. and so today i tried turning it on and i 'mget this problem...
im all out on ideas because as of now..
i even switched my video card for an old ATI PCI 4 MB Rage card
and it still doesnt work and ive only got a Maxtor 80G drive connected |

i wuld assume that too.. but before i got the 2000+ i had a tbird 1.3 and it died. but the power would still run thru the motherboard
thats why im thinking it has nothing to do wiht the chip...
i need to get power running thru the board first..
all ih ave is a green light on that ASUS board..
i cant figure out why no fans will turn on |
