    Lexar USB CF Reader woes

I have a Lexar USB CF Reader. I bought this to keep the wear and tear off my HP Photosmart C200 Digital Camera. This situation I am having is about to let me pull my hair up!

I plug in the card and then plug in the reader. Windows recognizes it fine. I open up the drive it created and open the folder it is in. I get this message "This folder is corrupt and cannot be opened". I said ok. I tried the serial cable to the camera directly and IT DOWNLOADED PICS! I said ok once again and formatted the CF card in the camera thinking maybe I have done something wrong. Didn't work after I took another couple of pics and tried to use the CF reader.

Is my CF reader bad? If not, is there a utility to fix the card?

Do you have another memory card reader you could try with it?

If not, can you try it on a different system?
