| NTLRD missing Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart.
um yeah, okay heres the deal, i read over other post involving this problem, but they all seem to be for win Xp.. okay so, i have Windows 2k Pro. i took out the HD (40gig) from my old computer, put it into my new computer to format it. then i installed Windows 2k Advanced Server on it. took out the HD and put it back in my old computer. all it says is NTLRD missing Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart.
so, how can i fix this guys/girls? any help would be appreciated. |

1st, make sure there isn't a floppy in there!
2nd, put your windows 2k cd in and do the recovery options
if that doesn't work i would just re-install windows from that computer. |

Why would you install windows on any other machine than the one you intend to use it on? |

"if you are using an old hdd that is already formatted, auto detection cannot detect the correct parameters. Youmay need to do a low level format or set the parameters manually, then check if the hdd is working."
(from an unspecified mobo manual)
Just reformat and reinstall os-the nonsensical error messages mean nothing |
