Question
Dual Boot System

I'm currently using a 80gig H/D which has been partitions into 4 x 10 Gigs and 2 x 20 Gigs
I have install xp home on 1 drive as fat32 and a 2nd drive as Ntfs (both xp home)

my problem is both O/S were working fine for months until i install and used Nortons Systemworks and i actually use the Norton's Win Doctors ( from the fat32 O/S ) as it scanned both O/S and now I can't boot into the Ntfs
each time I try to boot into Ntfs O/S even a normal boot up or in safe mode my computer reboots and won't allow me into the Ntfs O/S,,,,,,, I dont have any problems booting into the Fat32 O/S

No clue, but I know I haven't used Norton SW since I used 98SE. And I know WinDoctor gave me headaches galore on 2000, so XP is probably the same.

Hi fellow Aussie.

You should be able to rewrite the NT bootloader by using the winXP CD and booting with it, then using the recovery console and the command fixboot. This will rewrite the bootloader, so you can boot into both winXP's.

Sounds like the bootloader has lost the NTFS listing or something.

Ditch Norton's System-don't-Works, IMO.

More trouble than it's worth. Just keep the AV.

Cheers
Mick
