Deleting linux partition probs

Hi there

I've got a system on dual boot - Win XP and Red hat linux 8. I want to delete the linux partition to get more hd space for XP. I tried doing this last time with partition magic 7 but then my computer failed to boot into winXP, but I was presented with a 'Grub' prompt - looking similar to a DOS prompt.

How do I edit the boot info so that it'll boot into only XP once I delete the linux partition?

fdisk /mbr from a Dos boot disk will ge trid of grub if you installed it to the MBR.

Remove the boot loader using "fdisk /mbr", and then remove the linux partition using partition magic OR any other utility. If you remove linux partition before removing GRUB, GRUB might not like it.

you can also put your XP cd in (if it's bootable) and you can go into the repair option and do it that way (it should write over whatever is there).
