| Weird problem!
I'm having a weird problem with my box these days. Hopefully someome have a tip or something that can be usefull. What's happening is really weird, because I run the same apps and hardware as I have for the last 6 months, and it has never been any problems. If I sit by the box and use it active nothing ever happens. But every morning there's either a bluescreen telling some driver has messed up(mostly the video driver(nv4) or the firewall.sys). Sometimes it just runs on 100% though no services are running. The only suggestion I have is a newly replaced fan on my motherboard. This is the fan that cools the chip below the cpu, but all temperatures seems normal. Could the chip have been damaged before I got to replace the fan?? Would the board work if so??
Any comments, suggestions or thoughts are welcome. |

Of course...can't run any MS OS without anti-virus protection. Have tested the box with all kinds of anti-virus...my first thought too. But no virus found anywhere! This is my 3rd reinstall of windows...same happens everytime...clean install in the evening, messed up in the morning. And I don't really think the shop I bought the card from has anything to do with it...no offence. |

I run an FTP server 24/7, but has never had any problems like this. That usually doesn't use much of the resources. Why the cpu runs on 100% I can't figure out. When I have discovered this I have tried to close any running app/service, but after managing to close all apps it still runs at 100%. There is no spyware anywhere on my box I think. Check it with Ad-Aware every day. |

None...that's the weird thing. But not all the time...only if the box has been running for several hours on it's own. |

don't count 'System Idle' of course... |

Well...I can't tell really. As we speak I use the very same box, and everything runs perfect...server, firewall, chatclient, anti-virus, IE etc. But if I close everything but the server, and let the box run till the morning I either get the blue-screen with the driver failure, or the cpu runs on 100%. All regular services to run windows do of course run, but they don't use any resources...CPU usage at 0, but the total usage is at 100.
