ftp on xp home edition

I have been looking for an answer on how to. Or if i can set up a ftp client or server on my PC.
my specs are,

amd athlon xp 2200+
256mb
40 gb HD
nvidia geforce 4mx 420.

you can use something like bulletproof or serv-u
