Max Temp

I have a coolmaster XDream fan with the speed adjustment on the back when i am not using the system i drop it down to low so it makes less noise. but my CPU temp goes to 55c is this ok?

Yeah, it won't burn up at that speed. I like to keep mine under 50C, but "ok" operating range is at least up to 60C.

my friend has 60°C in his PC and it works fine so nothing to worry about. But you can aslo set the max temp in Bios to about 75°C so it will shutdown automaticly

i have it set to 70 in the bios that is the lowist it will go thanks people.............

Not all motherboards support shutting down at critical temperature.

I wouldn't worry about that temp too much though,
my system was running @50c idle and @65c load when I had glacialtech igloo 2310, now it's running @45c idle and @60c load (I have glacialtech silent breeze which is rated +900 higher than the previous one).
