If your not into OCing or heavy gaming the HS and HSF that came with the cpu will do the job fine.Tell us what you intend doing with this pc.

The Volcano 7 is not the best but I was getting decent temp on it, like around 40 degrees celcius on average. What I liked about it though was it had a manual speed adjuster for the fan, low, mid and high and my pc is in my bedroom and no noise was more important to me than performance when I was sleeping. I left it on low when I was snoozing and high when I was at pc. Plus its cheap and looks cool .
Oh yeah, I should mention on low setting it was quieter than my case fan.

I got the Volcano9 (with CoolMod) which has manual control and/or temp sensor control..
As Discreet said, it's probably not the best in the world, but it's certainly user friendly and easy to install and use...
Keeps my XP2600 around 40-45 degrees even in a warm room (my bedroom).
The SLK800 or SLK900 are said to be the best, but I've heard they can be difficult to mount because they're so wide?? |

Omardeth-
Great Zappa pic.
All-
I agree, I have built several systems (Athlon 2600+) with the Vantec Aeroflow. Sweet fan (it's quiet for 5000rpm) , Al+Cu heatsink, all for $33 at Newegg.com. I can't wait 'til I do my latest upgrade- that's the fan I'm getting!

Get the vantec areoflow, it's extra quiet. The volcano 9 works well, it just may get a little loud if you need to speed it up. |

I use the Thermaltake Mini Copper ORB which keeps my XP2100+ at around 43C idle and 50C max load but its pretty damn loud!
It's also a bit heavier than AMD reccomends.
