| error message please help!!!
I'm not sure what happened, but now when I start my computer, my splash screen shows up, then I get a black screen that prints:
L 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99
repeatedly!
Can anyone tell me what this means?
btw, I also have reason to believe that my roommate may have tampered with my computer somehow...If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I had linux installed, but I reformatted and erased everything off my C drive. Strange thing is, the dual-boot screen still showed up even though I had erased everything. Could that have been a contributing factor? And what does it mean? |

| Nevermind....
Probably will require a re-partition, format, and OS install. It is a likely a problem with your MBR.

It just displays that on the screen. It only gives the single startup beep signifying that everything is fine. |

I've been booting into windows fine up until today. Is there a possibility that anyone could have tampered with it? |

You guys had the Linux discussion before I was able to post, as I had several browser windows open.
You likely have an MBR problem. May require re-partitioning the drive. |

Can you give an explanation for my having an MBR problem? Or do those just happen?
Also, why did the dual boot screen still show up even after I re-formatted? |
