BIOS chip failure
what affect would the BIOS chip failing have on the PCs operation. Any help would be very much appreciated as i havent got a clue

I doubt anything would work at all. Unless you have a gigabyte of course, which has 2 bios chips. Has one failed, or are you thinking about flashing one and are worried about the negative ramifications of a flash gone bad?
