sony dru-500ax problem

well i have everything working fine but when i formatted my dvd-rw that came with the burner it would not let me delete any files that i had put on their
i used dla to do a drag and drop onto the dvd-rw but now i just cant delete anything off of it
windows XP would say

"CANNOT DELETE (FILENAME).AVI FILES ON THIS CD-ROM DRIVE ARE READ ONLY. YOU CANNOT COPY OR MOVE FILES OVER TO THIS CD-ROM DRIVE"

sony dru-500ax is compatible with all formats

i have a :
soyo kt400 dragon
2100+ amd
512 ram
tdk 48x cd-rw
sony 500ax
running windows XP Pro

i set the sony to master and the tdk to slave
both are running in a 2-1 ide cable to the motherboard

Are you experiencing problems burning regular DVD's?

You can try formatting it using Roxio 6 "Drag-to-Disc" feature.

no i juss made a back up copy of my dvd juss fine with dvd+r
but i was using a dvd+rw to drag one file onto it to see if it works
and it did but it won't delete the file now...even though it should since its a dvd+rw
i used DLA that came with the sony to drag and drop
i dont see why it won't let me take it off
