Playstation 2 dvd playing

Hey everyone,
I'm new to your site and hope that I am posting my question in the correct category--I apologize if I haven't done so. Anyway, I am having serious issues with my Playstation 2. Although I have never entered a parental code, my PS2 asks for one when I try to play certain DVDs. I have no clue what the code may be--does anyone know how to override this? Your help is so greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much, everybody...

if you never set one then it's probably all zero's. have you tried that?
