Have you pointed startup ( autoexec.bat and config sys ) towards it, ie
C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\MSCDEX.EXE

have you loaded the device drivers in you config.sys?
Should look something like this:
DEVICE=C:\CDRM\CDRM.SYS /D:MSCD001
/D: means Device name.
YOU MUST SPECIFY THIS in order for MSCDEX to find it
The device name can be no longer than 8 characters long.
If you need to specify a port, if its on a sound card ide channel, then add /P:a220i5d1 etc etc
Add this to your autoexec.bat file
C:\DOS\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001 /L: D
/L: means the drive letter. Choose a letter from D to Z. |
