    banshee problem

    Hi,

I had an old ATI card in a machine running windows 98se and replaced it with a voodoo banshee. Now when I try to adjust the resolution and color depth it is messed up. I can put it in 16, 24, and 32 bit color but only in 640x480. If I try to put it in 800x600 it can only go up to 16colors! I have the banshee drivers installed and have uninstalled all of the ati software. If I let windows automatically detect the card it just comes up as a standard VGA pci card. Also windows says that the drivers I am installing for the banshee are not the right ones but they are. ANy one have any ideas?
    Got root?

If you can't get it to work after a couple of days, shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you the drivers I have for the card in the system I'm typing on currently. They were downloaded directly from 3dfx and have worked perfectly for years.
