After flashing the BIOS to V1008, any time I turn on my computer after it has been off for any significant amount of time, it fails to detect my primary hard drive (IDE 0 Master.) It tries to boot off of my second hard drive (IDE 1 Slave,) but I have no operating system on that drive, so it doesn't boot. A simple reset is all it takes to get it to detect my primary drive and boot, but the POST takes forever to complete. It detects USB devices (IBM USB keyboard,) the IDE activity lights go out, pauses for about ten seconds, and then detects IDE devices and starts to boot from the primary drive. The IDE lights go out again, pauses for about 20 more seconds on a black screen, and then the Windows XP boot screen comes up, and everything runs perfectly fine after that.

Has anyone else had any problems like this? Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it?
