Was he having any problems before it died?

sounds to me like the video card is dead if you tried new memeory+mb+psu and still nothing. either the vid card or the monitor is bad. i would try using a different monitor first. goodluck

i did swap vidio cards also-just dont have a spare cpu-and dont want to mess with pullin parts from my box.
he had no problems except a couple months befor when the onboard vidio died-it was replaced and worked well till now. I did swap that vidio card for a different agp card.. the monitor does work-its a different one also--mine.
thinkin it might be the CPU-but when i swapped mbs i did a visual on cpu and would rate it as normal in appearance.

Is the system posting with a beep? or does it just not respond at all?

try laying it out on a wood table or book(mobo) and try with just ram, processor, video card no drives and see it you can get a bios screen and while your at try reseting the cmos jumper.
