| Help plz...comp shutting down with beep code
Hey I am having a problem with my comp. I will be playing on it or bein on the internet and it will shutdown and have a continous beep code of a high pitch then a low pitch. Sounds like RAM to me and I am gonna order a new stick but I was just wonderin if anybody has had the same problem....specs: I built this comp about 3 months ago had problem ever since.....FIC AU13 mobo, AMD 2000xp+, with 512mb PC2100, ATI radeon 9000 pro 128, 80gig HD. Becuase of the problem I ordered a new procceser a new graphics card and heatsink. I also got a new mobo cuz the first one they sent me was bad and I've tried both mobo's and they both give the same beep code. Thought ram cuz it's the only thing I haven't changed and it's continous beeping. It happens immediatly if I turn on the comp with fsb set at 133mhz. But the 2000xp is suppost to be set at 133fsb so I don't know why it won't let me run it at 133. I have it set right now at 100mhz fsb. Also I didn't know if it was the heat maybe too. Seems to shut down a lot if I have the side panel on. I have 4 fans on my comp. 2 PCI slot fans (don't remember real name for them ) a rear exhaust fan,(by the way PCI fans blow air out also) and a fan in the front blowing in air. Plz tell me if u have any Ideas.
