Mobo - Asus A7N8X Deluxe
If you are using only 2 sticks of RAM I wouldn't get 2 different sizes, why? I don't really know, lol. But 512 should be plenty, so get 2 sticks of 256.

| This board has been getting Maximum PC's Kick Ass Award the last few months. Highlights are RAID, Dual LAN, nForce 2 chipset, 2 Firewire ports, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 6. sound. Sells for $124 shipping included
at NewEgg.
The last Asus board I used was the A7V333 which had alot of goodies but didn't overclock as easy as the Soyo Dragon.

I agree with both Arcuivie and Tazman , I'm running the deluxe version of that board and it rocks. I'm using the same cpu and video card on this board with 512md ddr pc3200 and it does very well. |

I do believe the board will have problems if you run two sticks of differently sized RAM in dual channel.

You might comsider the Giga-Byte GA-7NNXP . It has dual lan with gigabit, audio, dual BIOS, paralell IDE RAID, SATA, and four DIMM slots. But, it has a hefty prive at about $175 or so.
I've been htinking about getting on myself. Here is a Tom's Hardware review. The only issue that I know of is that it has no hole around the CPU for some big heat sinks. |
