Wireless intellimouse explorer Jerky Movements??

I have a new Wireless intellimouse explorer and the mouse pointer moves with little jerky movements like it was snaping to grid points.

My Intellimouse Pro was as smooth as silk but alas they discontinued that model.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

Fish

I'm not familiar with the wireless Explorers. If you can, try it in the PS2 port instead of using USB.

There is a "Snap To" feature in Start>Settings>Control Panel>Mouse>Pointer Options

Fingers I think it's his mouse..
Of course I am a dyed in the wool true blue Logitech fan.
But if all the variables I mentioned in the above are ok, XP would have loaded the correct drivers and it should be smooth.
I base that on the fact that XP loaded up the ones for my Logitech Mouse Man no problem..

It is a wonderful mouse.. plugged into USB too btw..

oh, under pointer speed have you checked the Enhance Pointer Precision box?
