Windows XP log on problem

Hello,

I am having some problems with a user logging on to a Windows XP machine, he has a profile set up over a network that is fine on all of our XP machines apart from one laptop.

The Laptop has got Service Pack 1a installed on it as do all of the other XP machines.

If he logs on to the laptop, as soon as his desktop has loaded he get an error with explorer.exe and it seems to get in a loop where it crashes, tries to restart then crashes again and so on. This only happens for this user on the laptop. but when he logs in to a different XP machine, he has no probalems

Any ideas?

His machine's fine, perhaps someone's explorer.exe is not and needs to be repaired?
