laptop will only operate in safe mode. Message I get is Module C:|novel|client32|nbic32.nlm did not remain resident. HD is 86% free ? how can I get this to boot up properly.
It looks like Windows is trying to load a Novel client(nbic32.nlm). Deleting the file will not fix this.
IBM tech support told me this is caused by emm386 loading up from config.sys. I remarked out the line, but the problem persisted, then I ran a regclean and the problem went away. Maybe I just got lucky. Good luck.
