need small amount of help, at least i think this is an easy one
have bios set for boot from cdrom, os is installed though, so do i change it to boot from c:/ now? also how do i make it so windows comes up and not all the system info at poweron?

yes, just change your boot order, i believe it standard for all the info to come on, that is the period it is reading from the bios

You might look for something like "Quiet Boot", this might show a splash screen of the PC mfr. or you mobo mfr. instead fo the POST process.
