Not Booting???

Hi all , My sisters rig has a Lucky star k7vat mobo , She was using it daily and this morning turned it on and it wont boot at all..
No video card detected , no bios , just a black screen.

Also there is hd activity for a second and then it goes silent and the red led on the case is staying on (No activity)..

Also i put in a different video card sort of knowing it would not fix it , and it did not..

Is the MOBO's days over..

Remove everything possible. Get down to 1 stick of ram, cpu, video card..no keyboard or mouse etc. turn it on...still no video?..once again, retry a different video card...still nothing?.. the board or cpu is probably dead.

In the past 2 years or so, the motherboard manufacturers bought trainloads of defective capacitors..motherboards have been failing right and left ever since.

maybe not. check ps first with voltmeter. I have also gotten 3 bad boards from supplie in a single shipment
