CD-RW Problem

I have a sony CD-RW 52/24/52 drive.

When I copy files and such to burn (using WinXP Pro explorer) Then click "Write these files to CD". I click next to specify the CD name and then it says there is no writable CD in the drive and I just put one in there.

This is the first time i've had this problem.

Can anyone assist?

Firstly are you putting a formatted CDRW disk or a CDR disk?

Yes I reboot and it works only if the CD is in there during reboot.

I've tried different CDs.

My CDs are TDK CD-R disks.

SiLVerBuRn, I have the same problem on 2 machines. It's with the built-in WinXP wizard only. I think one of the security updates broke it. If you use a 3rd party like nero it should work.
