Copied a dvd movie to HD and attempted to copy same to DVD disc. Came up with a number of .vob files, each of which would play a portion of the movie. Is there anyway to join these vob files. Thanks. |

They should be played in order... 1...2...3... how did you copy them to your Hard Drive? Did you place the vobs in the video_TS folder in the new DVD?

The .vob files start with video_ts.vob and then vts_01_0.vob,
vts_01_1.vob,vts_01_2.vob, etc. all under the video_ts folder
This what is on the dvd- |

Original or Copied? Sounds like it should be working... what did you use to burn the video files?

If you used dvddecrypter to rip the vob files and didn't get the whole dvd it might not play without some work. The start of the original DVD might be a different title set. Also the folder name VIDEO_TS must be in capital letters. |

What media are you using to burn the copy? Players typically only support certain media formats (-r/-rw/+r/+rw are all different types).
Check http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers for compatibility |

Will try the capital letters-thanks- | Same as video cd's. It requires a File in the beging of dvd to tell the player length of movie location of vobs in what order (piracy protection) extra features and where they are on disc-lang. settings location of diff sound tracks-5.1 stereo and multiple languages, that kinda stuff.. If its decrypted no biggy, it doesnt change anyhting. Just means the Vob files are NOW in order 1-10 etc. and you had the option to remove uneeded sound tracks-features and option.... So the vobs are just not mixed up like before hand. So all your missing is the File that describes cd to player. you must use a DVD authoring program to do this-you cant just make the file. It will then burn in proper dvd standalone player format. Nero will do it. So will B's recorder gold. Lots of others too. Check www.vcdhelp.com (hehe-lol its the same link as above) for any more questions-they have everything you could every need to know about this already in easy to follow guides.
