Hey,
Did you try to reinstall windows or do a system restore to the point where the cd worked?
On the internet explorer, did you try to "repair and reinstall" function to get IE working again?
thanks, Paul

I dodn't know XP but could that have something to do with permissions or a security feature? Do you have a *GOOD* and *UPDATED* virus program running? Also, just for the heck of it, have you run Ad-Aware and/or Spybot? Also, I just noticed: There's a *HUGE* difference between "won't install" and "won't run".
