XP Command Prompt on a Secure CPU

Our company is migratng to XP from NT 4.0 and I am afraid I won't be able to run programs like Trillian anymore because I don't know a way to install programs on XP when rights are taken away.

NT 4.0 was easy with the nt.cmd batch file.. can I use this with XP??

Will your admin set permissions allowing an "ordinary user" account to install programs? If so, you can install and run whatever you want when logged in under your user account, these programs just won't be available to anyone else who logs on.

My experience is that most any NT4 CMD programs will work under XP.

Thanks.. I know they won't let us install programs.. It is a law firm and the last thing they want is some employee downloading Porn, or court documents!! haha

I will try the nt.cmd file.. thanks
