Firewire 1394 PCI 2.2

Hi, I just bougth a PCI firewire card and it turned out to be PCI 2.2 compliant, and my mobo turned out to be 2.1

XP doesn´t detect the card. Please, i need help. Is there anything i can do?

Its pci 2.2 ONLY? Thats very hard to believe seeing how its such a new spec most pc's dont have it. That would limit their sales HUGANTIOUSLY to jus tthe server markets mainly. So Id think its 2.1 compat atleast. Go into device manager-then click refresh. If a yellow ! is by one of devices remove it-then refresh. When asks for drivers point to them or click update under the devices properties. Lots of cards go undetected (thank the shabby PnP for that) but once forced work fine.

There is no new device in the device manager. i´m going crazy.
any ideas?.

Possibly try a different PCI slot or try it in a different computer to see if you get the same result. If it still doesn't detect, return it as defective.
