Help wanted

Hello Everyone,using xp pro on p4 1.8 Intel moboD845HV, 768 sdram,the comp is sluggish(the least)and shuts off suddenly(nav.is on as well ZA)no viruses after scan.
here is a message on the blue screen:A problem has been detected and win.has been shutdown to prevent damage,

1. Check for overheating/bad fan
2. Switch in a new memory module

How long have you been running this comp, is it overclocked, and have you tried a fresh install of Windows XP?

Thanks for your reply,i have not overclocked ,the fan is original Intel ,and will try the new ram,reinstall xp as last resort,thanks again.

Run Memtest86 and see if you have any errors in your memory modules.

Also was it always like this? Just suddenly start happening? If you built it yourself, what PS is on this thing.
