fujitsu 20 gig

I am looking at installing a fujitsu MPG3204AT-FB 20 gig harddrive on my DFI mobo with a celly 700 and I am wondering if there is any way to transfer the entire contents including win98se to this drive from the 8 gig maxtor it is on now. I would do a clean install except that I will have to go to Microsoft and spend hours downloading the updates I only have dialup available. Is there any way that I can at least try.

you can salve the 20gig and use maxtors drive tools to partion and format it then copy the entire contents of the smaller drive from there. I've done it that way several times without any issues assuming the smaller drive was used in the current computer set-up your going to be running the 20gig in if not then you will run into alot of issue with device conlicts and what not

Go to Maxtor.com and get maxblast. It should work since one drive is a Maxtor.

took me a second to find the link. But if you ahve the drive tools that came with either one of the drives it should work without any issues. WD even has a set of tools that should work fine.
