Thanks for all the help in my other topic: http://www.techimo.com/forum/t92829.html
I just went ahead and installed Win XP over ME so that she can actually use her computer. Everything went well and it's all good... the only issue is that I had to reinstall AOL 9.0 for her, and when I did, I noticed that I had to reinstall the modem drivers. After doing so, it gets online, but over AIM it takes approximately 30 seconds to send and recieve messages, and she can't load websites at all.
Sorry for all the questions but I am at wits end. :| |

Shhhh.....
Don't let this get out. The user ID and password for DriverGuide.com is Drivers and All.
Remember, tell no one of this. |

I found an entire FORUM dedicated to the *deleted* of that modem. And apparently, no drivers work for it and XP. I have a couple of modems that XP actually recognizes and installs it's own drivers for lying around. I'll take those over and install. Thanks for the help. Profanity deleted |

Yay, crappy modems!
Yeah, if it doesn't work on XP, use another 56k. At worst case, a new one is like $10 or so. |
