new monitor not displaying games correctly

System Specs:

2600xp
epox 8rda+
ti4200 oc'ed (295/545)
2 80gb Maxtor
1gb Geil Ram

Before, i had a Samsung 17" syncmaster but for christmas i was given a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 955DF. I have the desktop resolution set to 1024x768, and i had the game resolution set the same. games do not take up the entire screen. I can't figure out what is going on with this, there is a lot of free black space to the left and up top on the bottom. Any help is greatly appreciated. Btw, i have the drivers installed also.

Can you fix it with the controles on the monitor?

Look at a picture of a monitor similar to yours. Did you try using those buttons? Those can adjust screen size.

i just uninstalled crappy nvidia drivers and installed omega. Problem has cleared up....

hopefully this lasts. Rand, the desktop displayed correctly, but when a game started it would not display correctly. But anyhow, with these drivers, all seems to be good.

Oh ok, I thought it was like that all the time. I knew you were smarter than that . BTW Omega drivers are good, I use them too.
