| No Sound for Winfast TV2000 Deluxe For Abit NF7-S
Hi i searched around good for solutions for my lack of sound problem for my newly purchased Winfast TV2000 Deluxe, and this site came up.
I searched around the forums to see if i could pull out some solutions but to no luck.
I've tried updating drivers for both my motherboard and winfast tuner card, but still no sound.
I Dont have a sound card, i'm using onboard sound on my motherboard, which is Abit NF7-S. I'm also operating on windows 2000. I have 5.1 speakers but i can't get surround sound to work with this motherboard.
I've tried instead of putting the sound wire to the line in, to put it in the mircophone jack with microphone set in the configurations, but that did not work too. I'm thinking about buying a 5.1 sound card, because i'm thinking thats probably my problem?
I dont know what else to do? Think i could get some more suggestions from you friendly folks?
Thanks

Systems specs:
Motherboard: Abit NF7-S
Processor: Overclocked AMD 1800 XP+
Windows 2000

yeah, I forgot about that when I was messing with mine...you have to use the little cable to loop around from the motherboard sound ports to the card sound ports....I forget which ports...but the manual will tell you. |

according to the motherboard manual, i've connected everything correctly
Anybody else think it could be the lack of sound card? i'm about to buy a 5.1 sound card for to see if that would fix it. |

well does your onboard sound work on the mobo??
If you have no soundcard/onboard sound at all in the motherboard it wont work, lol. The TV2000 doesnt have a "speaker" output, it only has a line output....so it wont power speakers probably...it is just meant to go into a line input.
when you right click your vol icon in the system tray and you go "open volume controls"....what all do you have in there and are they all turned up some and not muted?? If "line in or "mic in" or whatever is not in there you can add it with "options" then "properties" after you do "open vol controls" |

You already have a sound card.!
Although integrated, it should give you the same ports you need to use that TV card.
Double check your cables, if not try that card on another computer. For all we know, it COULD be the TV card that's damaged.!
