Need to delete a file on NTFS but can't boot...

Is there any way to make a boot disk that will allow me to delete a file on the hard drive, with a simple DOS-like interface? I've seen lots of boot disks which allow for the "read"ing of NTFS, but not writing or modification.

if you can't boot, you need to use the cd to do the repaire of the system files, just boot from the cd

There is no CD, this is a piece of crap HP/Compaq machine. Using repair/restore from hidden partition or from the 7 CD OEM set does nothing to solve the issue. Take a look at the specific issue here:

Apparently I need to delete that amdagp.sys file. So... once again, how do I make a NTFS boot disk that will allow me to delete/modify files?

What to Do When XP or 2000 Won't Boot

Direct From the $ource
Use the first link for directions on how to use the disks from Microsoft to access the Recovery Console, which will allow you to remove the offending file.
