Motherboard won't boot!!!

I am building a computer for a friend and I hooked everything up but all I get are lights and fans. No beeps no video. It is an ABIT IC7 mobo and a 3.0 ghz processor intel. I have the mobo the ram the video and the processor with speaker plugged in and I can't get a beep or any video. Any ideas? I have cleared the CMOS a hundred times and have reseated the processor. The processor is very difficult to seat though for some reason. It doesn't like going into the holes but is ligned up correctly.

Thank you in advance!

I had the same exact setup with the same exact problem. Make sure you cpu fan is plugged into the motherboard not into a molex connector. If you cant do that make sure anyone of your fans is plugged into the CPU fan slot on the motherboard

Is that an external speaker, plugged into the back I/O panel?

Cause you need the case speaker plugged in to the pins with the power/reset switch. You probably don't have drivers installed for the I/O yet.

My only suggestion would be recheck all the basics.

Does the mobo also have a four pin connector to power the cpu?
Reseat the video, ram, check all cables, make sure the monitor is plugged in, and turned on.

It's usually the simplest of things..........
