Computer Randomly Restart

Hey, I have a

Circero (future shop) XP
AMD 2400+
FX 5200 128 meg
512 RAM

I've had it for about 3 months - and a few weeks ago every so often the computer restarts. I've been told it's shortage of power, but i'm not to sure
It's not a virus
Also no warning or anything comes up, just restarts
any help?

Any idea what temperatures you are running at? Possible heat problem, or like you said-power supply. My computer did the same exact thing. I would be surfing the web or something and it would just restart. But it was an eMachines so it had an excuse.

sounds to me like the power supply is going out . i find that most the time with this kinda problem thats what it is . bad ram will do this also . but most of the time it is the power supply .

Have a spare power supply laying around to see if it is in fact the power supply?

BTW, how often does it restart on you?
