    Asp cms or php cms

I will like to have your opinion about what kind of CMS to choose- a ASP or PHP based. I know that some php cms is free but asp is more stable, isn't it?

    Thanks.

whew... good luck with that one, i really have grown fond of hating Content Management Systems, the hardest thing for me to deal with is not having a hard copy of some of the stuff, its usually in its own database, DNN is an ASP based CMS which is probably one of the better ones out there. Do you know much about CMS's or are you just learning?

    ASP based CMS
DNN is based on .NET and ASP.Net not classic ASP. You will need a host supporting ASP.Net.

That being said, neither is more stable or secure inherently. It is all about how it was coded.

Some CMS's are notorious for their bad code (phpnuke anyone?) but others are just fine. So do your research.

    I totally get you!

I totally get you! Sometimes I find myself scrambling for a lot of time for something as ridiculous as changing a color of font.

Personally, I use MSAS (mambo) which is a PHP CMS. I learned ASP at school. But the company I'm in uses PHP because it's free and open-code.

Another reason not to use ASP is the Microsoft monopoly!
