mysql/php messing with screensaver (this is odd lol)

Now first, I must say this normally wouldn't be a problem seeing if a server has a monitor, it can easily be turned off, yet i run a webserver that is php/mysql enabled on a laptop (ghetto, yes i know). Originally i had the screensaver set to 1 min, and turn display off after 5, i noticed it kept turning back to the screensaver at random times. After comparing to my webservers log files, i found it happens when the mysql databases are used.

When a person connects and gets an image, or html this isn't a problem.

When they connect to say my forums, the display will go from off, to the screensaver. It just bugs me, because it even overrides the screen off function when you close the lid, and being an older laptop it's obviously better for it to be off than on the screensaver.

I'm currently running windows 2000pro, and xitami as my webserver. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hah, this is great The only thing you could look at would be the power management options. When the mysql tables are updated, it is modifying the harddrive, which windows seems to think means you are actively using your computer and want it on

You will need to look at the power options for windows 2000 in order to make this quit. Nothing you can do as far as the apache/MySQL goes.
