| help needed (php hell)
I recently upgraded, err downgraded to windows 2000 server from xp. got sick of all the bs, and vaporware service packs, so I went back in history. anyhow, I had a 100% php site running on apache 1.3.29 on xp. I moved to 2K server, and put the site on IIS 5.0. took a little configuring, but I got it all working. "Sitting on the server" like I am doing right now, I can post fine to the sites bulletin boards. A member who I know is having problems all the time with it. Keeps getting errors about invalid permissions. I reset his password, and he still has problems. I tried other stuff, and he still has problems. I logged in with his account, and I posted replys to 2 different threads fine. Any idea what is up? all files/scripts have correct permissions.
Can any of you guys create a account on the site, and post something in the Betamax Forum? (post elsewhere if anything interests you)
I'm going to class tonight, and will test from there. I want to see if this is something I did, the server isn't working, or
Please post all the gory details/server errors here if you get anything.
The website in question is in my profile, as I can't remember if I can post it here.
Windows 2000 Server
IIS 5.0
Current PHP/Mysql
Using PHP-Nuke

Well, i went to your site and created an account. After I logged in, it took me to the forums, where I attempted to reply to one of the posts in the Betamax forum. For some reason, though, it will not retain my login status. When I put in my username (texastoast) in the proper field, it tells me that that username is already taken (yeah, by me, and i am supposedly logged in with it...).

that is a problem I am still working out. When you log on using the top of the page, it logs you into part of the site. To log into the forums, go to the main forum index, and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. The login box is down there. I know it seems like a hassle, but I am still working the bugs out (hence this post)
Thanks for your help!!
