PHP - remove a line from a called script.

Ok say I have a PHP block that calls from an external site. It generates an image and auto-creates the HTML for it. The block loads the HTML and displays it in the block.

Is there anyway I could code the PHP to isolate a certain line of that script and remove it every time? For example:

The page calls from: www.mysite.com/external.php and uploads the created HTML.
I want to REMOVE the HTML lines that link to a banner exchange site so they don't appear in my block.

Is this possible?

yes if you have the incoming html in a varible first then just use

$var = str_replace("line to be replaced", "with this", $var);
