Talking How to run Java Program

    Hi all,

I just started a Java course and one of the assignments has me puzzled. It involves having some stuff print into a command window. When I run the program from inside Borland JBuilder, the command window closes immediately. If I open the command prompt and go to the directory, what is the command that I need to type in order to get the program to run? Thanks,

    Jeff

I'm not exactly sure about Java, but I think you need to compile the program to an .exe then run it from the command line.

You can go to Sun's website and download their java development kit. It's just like borland 5.5 that's free for download.

To compile using that it's "javac file.java"
    To run "java file"
