I'm looking for a web hosting provider but have a unusual requirement, apparently. I've been looking around on the internet for this for some time, but I can't seem to find the host type that I need. I am not asking for people to go out and search for this for me, I just want to know from your own, personal experiences if any of you know of a provider that has all of these features. I can't find one that has them all:
Storage: at least 1/2 gigabyte
Emails: 50 accounts minimum
Transfer: 30+ GB / month
FTP Access
SSH or Telnet Access
1 mySQL database (or more)
Perl and PHP support
SSI
Now, I've found ALL of those things EXCEPT the SSH or Telnet access on a number of hosting sites. Why more sites don't allow command line access, I do not know... I'm not looking to break the bank with this site either - I'm talking $15 a month max. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Awesome! Do you use them as your own provider or is this just a suggestion? I've signed up with some real "doozies" in the past - ones where they say "99.9% uptime" and it ends up being more like 62% uptime... Thanks for the light-speed response, by the way! Mr. Sulu couldn't have done it more quickly himself. |

I use them for my own website... which gets high traffic a month... it's been great... top notch support.
The only problem is sometimes they have no room left to sell hosting... unless they add servers.... |

Gotta love the little guy (small businesses). I'll try 'em out- what's the worst that can happen? I lose my $13.50! I can spare the cost of a pizza to see if they're what I need. Thanks again. |

You could always run your own dedicated server for about $50 a month and resell some of it to offset the costs.
I recomend: www.tomsyer.net for dedicated servers.

Thanks, but that is a bit outside of my price range, and I don't want to have to deal with "customers" of my own. I just want this as a place to host family photos and to experiment with programming (hence the PHP / mySQL / SSH requirement). Thanks for the interesting idea, though. |
