zero-client viewer?

I'm not exactly sure where to put this (because I have no idea what it is... ).

So... What is it?

I'm setting up a Crystal Enterprise server for viewing crystal reports via a browser. So far all has gone well. As I was going through some of the viewing preferences (for the users) I was given the options for an ActiveX viewer, DHTML viewer, Advanced DHTML viewer and Java viewer. The two DHTML viewers were classified as "zero-client viewers" I've never heard of this?

Any Ideas?

Thanks
Al

This probably means that the client is not required to have anything downloaded. For example, ActiveX and Java require some client side code. Zero client means that the whole page is rendered on the server. This also means that they could lack functionality of a rich client, such as ActiveX or Java. But, any compatible browser could connect without downloading anything.
