Can anyone recommend a reliable hosting company? The one I have is screwing up repeatedly. My one commercial site has been down for three straight days and I'm about to lose that client. They keep messing with the DNS and it's so screwed up now I doubt they'll ever get it fixed. Time to take my money elsewhere.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks, but they're a bit too pricey for me. I don't make any money off my commercial sites because I have other trade-off arrangements with the clients; lawn care, etc.
I think I'm about to learn that you get what you pay for, eh? |

MSG Siliconjunkie I have used his dedicated server without any hitches for the better part of a year my site (in my profile) is hosted on it. http://www.metro-host.com/
In the end the best hosting you can probably have is your own dedicated server (can be found for about $60 a month) and then sell what ever is left over in your server to others.

Cheap hosting = cheap reliability + cheap support |

Well, thanks for all the suggestions. I maintain my websites for my own fun and I host a few commercial sites for trades-offs, so I can't afford anything approaching the costs of the suggested sites. For sure if I were to start charging folks I'd have to move to someone more reliable. I just don't want to deal with the hassle of having paying clients. Trade-offs are so much easier.
Thanks again for all the pointers. |
