i need quick help with templates

alright i got this template idk how to use them its just an image with 3 buttons where i wana make them say HOME (link it to my index) WEB (google or w/e) and MENU (link it to a subdirectory) someone? any 1 knows how to use templates? if any info is needed just ask

no its just an image one and i dont know how to use the button thingies. i have one my friend made for me its crappy cause i told him to make a crappy one (its not suppose to be fancy cause im still in just a beginners class) and he makes all these templates for like small and big business websites and junk

You would need to get an program that works with text/images like Photoshop, Fireworks ect. and put in the words "subdirectory" , "web" ect on top of the buttons. I would think... Then slice the images and put them into Dreamweaver or another website-making program
