I say 10pt. if it's a sans-serif font (ie Arial) or 12pt. if it's a serif font (ie Courier). | |

I agree with OuT. Besides, who cares about the "visually impaired"? (Actually, I do, but that's a different topic) If they want it bigger, they should get a better browser. Opera and Firefox both support zooming. | |

Even internet explorer supports increasing the text size on the browser end.
As for blogs... a good example of one is Wil Wheaton's website: www.wilwheaton.net . It's basically an online journal containing a person's thoughts and ramblings. | |
